At SDU, we are part of FUSILLI, a European food system transformation project that includes partners at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Many of the staff and students have left Ukraine, but there are also many who stay and they need generators to run their computers. Our colleague, Olena Muradyan, Dean of Sociology at Karazin, selected this solar generator: https://rozetka.com.ua/371414022/p371414022/ – the batteries are called KIJO and the inverter is MUST.

With your support, they hope to place it in the Karazin student hall or the botanic gardens, giving seniors access too. You may wonder if there is enough sun in Kharkiv at the moment? Olena said the Karazin University Astronomy Institute has the same solar generator and are really happy with it, which must mean yes; Olena would be thrilled to have one too. The Sociology building was one of the first destroyed in the war, but they keep going with their research. Instead of transforming the food system for sustainability purposes, since the war began, they have been adapting sociological methods to ensure food security. Help us support them in any way you can.

We have already raised ~1200 of the 2500 Euros needed for the generator. You can contribute here using Paypal or direct transfer:
