Invasive crab species in the Barents Sea: stakeholder perceptions, incentives and path dependencies
As promised, here is the chapter Melina Kourantidou and I wrote for the CIESM monograph discussed here.
In the chapter, we highlight how the red king and snow crab in the Barents Sea are changing ecosystems, economies, investments, behaviors, institutions and legal settings. All these changes generate path dependencies that shift real and potential returns from the natural and physical capital in the region – so it is important to understand stakeholder perceptions!
