My colleague Pia Heike Johansen in the Sociology group at our department leads a nice new paper on the SDGs and interdisciplinarity published in Land Use Policy.

The paper maps interactions among societal demands for various land uses in Denmark, and thus is able to contextualize conflict and synergies within the SDG framework. In so doing the paper highlights the potential and challenges for interdisciplinary research in search of resolutions to challenges for allocating scarce resources across multiple demands.

You can find the paper here (Johansen et al. (2020). Exploring the interdisciplinary potential of the Agenda2030—Interactionsbetweenfive Danish societal demands for sustainable land use. Land Use Policy 94).
